Bring your bike (must be in working condition), helmet, drink, and a snack (optional). If you need to repair or tune your bike before the sessions, consider coming in to work on the bike at Cycle Transitions. Annual membership fee is $30 for an individual, $50 for a family. Or pay $5/hour for the use of a work station. A mechanic is available for assistance or tutoring.

Tune-Up Time – Spring is almost here!
Now is the time to get your bike out of storage and give it a good spring tune-up! Clean it, lube it, replace worn out parts. Come in to Cycle Transitions where we’ll help you get your bike in top form for riding.
If you’ve got a bike you’re no longer using, we’ll gladly take it off your hands – donate it to us. We’ll refurbish and sell it so that someone else can ride it for many more years.
We’re now open for our riding season hours – that means Thursday evenings (6:30 to 9 p.m.) in addition to Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings (9 a.m. to noon).
Winter Riding Tips
Cycle Transitions has had a steady number of members coming by to maintain their winter bike. It’s been a good winter for riding with relatively little snow and mostly reasonable temperatures (not great if you like cross-country skiing…). Here is a drawing from the City of Toronto as well as a posting at the gearjunkie website which provide invaluable tips for winter riding!

Ladder and Bolt Cutter needed
Cycle Transitions is in need of a step ladder (5′ or 6′) to access parts stored above the head. We also need a pair of bolt cutters to take off old locks from some of the donated bikes we receive. If you have either and are willing to donate it to CT, we’d appreciate it!
Send us an email or drop it off at the shop.
