To Glow or not to Glow

An interesting discussion is taking place on various media outlets about whether cyclists should paint their bikes with “Lifepaint” that glows in the dark – so that we make ourselves more visible to motorists. Cycle Transitions advocates safety first but why has it come to this? Why do we have to glow on the roads? Why can’t we just have lights like cars do?
