Cycle Transitions reverts to Off-Season Hours

Cycle Transitions will be reverting to “Off-Season” hours as of Friday, August 27. Our Off-Season hours are as follows:

Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm to 9pm
Saturday mornings from 9am to 12noon

We invite members to make use of the shop during these times. COVID restrictions continue to apply: a maximum of 7 persons in the shop at one time, all persons must wear a mask and are asked to socially distance.

With the end of the summer, we thank our student employee, David Burn, for his great work. David has been a significant and effective part of our efforts to provide services and facilities to the Cobourg cycling community. We wish him all the best as he heads off to Teacher’s College for the fall semester. Based on what we’ve seen, David will become an excellent teacher!

Cycle Transitions is OPEN again!!

We did it! The team at Cycle Transitions has completed the set-up at our new location; we are ready to assist members and even have a few bicycles ready for sale. It took a lot of hard work, creativity and patience, but it’s done and we hope to be here for quite a while!
We are now located in Building 17 on Fourth St in Northam Industrial Park, essentially right behind our first location in Building 13 (now Venture 13). The Fourth St entrance to Northam Ind Park is directly across D’Arcy St from the front entrance to the Cobourg Community Centre. To access us, take Fourth St off D’Arcy South, follow Fourth almost to its end – we are on the north (right hand) side. Our shop is the south side of building that houses Bardon Plumbing Supplies.
We officially open on Tuesday, June 15 at 4:30pm. There will be no “Grand Opening” until COVID restrictions ease and we can do it properly. Our summer hours will be 4:30 to 8:30pm Tuesday to Friday, and 9am to 3:30pm on Saturdays. Our new summer employee – David Burn – begins June 15th and will be with us until the end of August.
APPOINTMENTS AND FACEMASKS REQUIRED Due to COVID restrictions, we ask all members to make an appointment for when you’ll be coming in to the shop. Email or call for an appointment. And bring your facemask to wear.
