Bicycle Maintenance Workshop this Thursday eve

We haven’t able to get as much riding in as we’d like with all this rain, but rain or shine we are having another bike maintenance workshop May 11th. Learn how to clean your bike, clean and lubricate your chain, and change a tire. This is a hands on workshop so you will get an opportunity to practice some of these skills right away. Bring your bike and don’t wear your good clothes! Pre-registration is required and can be done by sending an email to:
nhcycling2010@gmail.com.
Date: Thursday, May 11th
Time: doors open 6:30, workshop runs from 7 to 9:00
Location: Cycle Transitions, 739 D’Arcy Street
Cost: $10, members of Cycle Transitions free

Cycle Transitions looking to hire a Summer Student

Cycle Transitions is pleased to announce that it has again secured a Canada Summer Works grant for the purposes of hiring a student to work in the shop.  This is a repeat of last year – a very successful endeavour – where Luke Archibald tended to the shop, assisted patrons and took care of sales. This year we will hire a new student to fill that role.

This is a call for applicants; if you know of someone who could ably fill this role, please have them send their cover letter and resume to Bruce Bellaire – brucebellaire@gmail.com . Our application deadline is April 30, the projected start date to be May 9. The position calls for 25 hours per week with an hourly pay rate at $15. A copy of the job description can be found here.

Cycle Transitions to open Thursday evenings

With the cycling season upon us soon, it’s time to add hours to our schedule.  As of April 13, Cycle Transitions will be open Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 9 pm.  This in addition to our regular hours of Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings. Dig your bike out of storage and get it cleaned and tuned up for riding!

Cycle Transitions closed for Holiday Weekend

Cycle Transitions will be closed this Family Day holiday weekend (as it is for all holiday weekends).  We will re-open on Tuesday, February 21 at 6:30 p.m.

Enjoy the weekend! Hopefully you can get out there and enjoy our great outdoors!
