NEWS AND EVENTS
Holiday Greetings from Cycle Transitions
Cycle Transitions extends a holiday greeting to all our members, supporters and friends. May this be a safe and enjoyable time for you! Our shop is closed during the holiday season beginning with Saturday, December 21, through January 3, re-opening again Saturday, January 4. We’re looking forward to seeing you again in the new year!
Cycle Transitions to resume “Winter” hours
Now that the cycling season is winding down, Cycle Transitions will resume its “winter” hours. We will now be open:
Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm to 9pm
Saturday mornings from 9am to noon
As usual, we are closed all long weekends.
For those of you putting your bicycles away for storage, consider bringing the bike in for a clean-up first. We have the facilities to make that easy for you to do. And for those planning to ride this winter, consider prepping your bike – lubing all parts that may rust, perhaps putting on fenders and studded tires. We can help you with all of this.
New Summer Hours
With the end of Emily’s employment contract, Cycle Transitions will be reverting back to our early summer hours. As of this Saturday, August 10, our open hours will be:
Monday and Wednesday evenings – 6:30 to 9pm
Saturday mornings – 9am to noon.
Emily’s Last Day is Thursday
It’s that time of year – our summer employment grant is winding down and that means Emily Washburn will soon be on her way back to university. This Thursday will be her last day of employment.
We’ve been very pleased with Emily’s work for us this summer! Emily has done a tremendous job; she learned all the tasks quickly, on top of keeping of top of the cash system she’s taught us a thing or two, she’s been great with members and customers, and she’s learned a lot about bicycle maintenance. Very impressive!
If you’d like, you can drop by the shop to wish her well in the new school year, thank her for her work here. Even though Thursday is her last day, we’ll be having a wee celebration at 7:30 Wednesday evening.
Thank you, Emily, we’re going to miss you!
