About 25 people came out on Saturday despite the downpour of rain to see the ribbon-cutting ceremony and check out this unique facility. Cycle Transitions is open on Saturday mornings as well as Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Cycle Transtions will be offering two Can-Bike 1 courses through the Northumberland YMCA this fall. Courses will be held at our shop at 739 D’Arcy St. and will include a mix of classroom, parking lot and street instruction and practice.

1. Can-Bike 1 (for active retirees)
• On Thursday, October 4, 11 and 18 – 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• Instructors: Bruce Bellaire, Maria Garrett
• Minimum: 4 Maximum: 10
2. Can-Bike 1 (for ages 14 and up)
• On Saturday, October 13 and 20 – 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Instructors: Lee Shooter, Rick Nonnekes, Jen Poole, Maria Garrett, Bruce Bellaire
• Minimum: 4 Maximum: 10

Cycle Transitions, a project of Go Green Together and Sustainable Cobourg’s Bicycle Action Committee, will open its doors to the public for the first time on Saturday, September 8 at 10:30 a.m. You are invited to attend!

At our grand opening, we’ll do the “ribbon-cutting” to officially open the doors, share our project goals with you, and give you a tour of our new facilities.
