We at Cycle Transitions, wish each of you a very safe and happy holidays!

And may 2015 be your best year yet for cycling!

On March 26th 2014 Cycle Transitions, Cobourg’s community “do-it-yourself” bicycle repair shop, donated two bicycles to Cobourg’s Women’s Shelter.

We’ll take any bicycle as long as it has potential for refurnishing or for parts (please, no junk bikes!). We’ll refurbish the bicycle and put it up for sale at very low cost to the community, or use it for parts. Some of the bicycles will be available for our “Sweat Equity” program – individuals can receive credit by volunteering at CT and in return use that credit to build their own bicycle from our stock.

Funds generated from the sale of these bicycles or their parts will go towards the operating costs of Cycle Transitions, a non-profit, volunteer-run organization working to increase safe cycling in Northumberland County. www.cycletransitions.org

If you have one or more bicycles to donate, but don’t have the means to transport them to CT, give us a call (905.377.1278) or send an email (info@cycletransitions.org); we’ll arrange for them to be picked up.
